What is a Chronic Wound?
A chronic wound is one that fails to heal after about four weeks and doesn’t
respond to traditional treatments. Chronic wounds are becoming more common,
often due to underlying health issues like diabetes or circulatory conditions.
These wounds should not be ignored. Without proper care, they can lead
to infections, increased pain, reduced mobility, and more serious complications.
If you notice a wound is not improving, it's important to seek professional
medical evaluation and treatment.
